General Questions

Q. Where are you located? / Where to Park For Outboard Service?

We are located on 245 Vilano Rd., right by the new round-about at the foot of the Vilano Beach pier.

You can see our signage coming over the Historic Coastal Byway A1A from the historic district of downtown St. Augustine, Florida. You will pass signs and landmarks for the tourist center, parking garage and will just pass our public library before making your first turn onto San Marco – A1A.

When traveling on US1, follow the signs for the historic district and keep in the right or center lanes. Your first right turn will be on San Marco into the historic district. You will also see signage indicating that A1A is ahead.

Cross the Historic Coastal Byway and follow traffic left. You are going to make your second left at the stop sign intersection in front the Holiday Inn.

You will see beach access on your left which will dead end. Follow this road past the hotels and the Publix shopping center. When you reach the round-about, keep right and you will be lead right into our front parking lot and parking for the pier. You will see signange for the Vilano Beach Pier, St. Augustine Marina, and Beach’s.

If you are stopping in for outboard service, you can follow the round about and make your first right at our back gate. Park anywhere here and one of our technicians will come out and greet you.

Bow Department

Q. What does bow setup and tuning cost / entail?

Whether you purchase your bow from us or you bring in a bow you purchased somewhere else, we take the time to ensure your bow is tuned to your draw weight, height, make / model, and the specifications of your arrows. This includes taking time to test and make adjustments in store so that you can be confident that your bow is in the best possible shape for your next trip to the range or the field.

We highly recommend calling ahead or making an appointment for tuning or if you plan to purchase a new bow so that we can make time and do it right the first time for you. When calling ahead, ask to speak to Brian.

Q. Can I watch during setup, repair, or tuning?

We recommend that you stay with us during your set up and tuning so that you may test your bow for accuracy and personal preferences so we may make adjustments on site before you leave.

Depending on the extent of what needs to repair, we may ask that you leave your bow with us to pick up at a later date or proceed with the repair while you wait. This depends on what needs repairing, if we have the materials or parts in stock, and how long the repair is estimated to take. We appreciate your patience and assure you that your bow is in good hands.

Q. Do you have a practice range?

We do have targets set up in store for testing bows after purchase, after tuning. or testing our custom arrows before purchasing. We may also set up targets outdoors for this purpose.

Q. How Much Does Bow Restringing or Repair Cost?

Restringing and repair costs depend on the type of string used for your bow, the extent of the damage, your personal specs, and the make / model of your bow. We offer restringing and repair services for compound bows and Ravin crossbows, but may be able to work on other models depending, We highly recommend stopping in if you would like one of these services or making an appointment.
